pervormance international is the only German company to be represented in the book on equality by UN Women of the United Nations.
The comprehensive book from the United Nations presents innovative and successful female entrepreneurs who implement the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEP) in small and medium-sized companies.
By women for women
pervormance was founded by women. The majority of its employees are also women. “That’s why it’s important to us to strengthen the rights of women and make life more beautiful and easier for everyone.” That’s what the two company founders, Gabriele Renner and Sabine Stein, say
Since 2013, pervormance has not only developed cooling textiles but has also been involved in the UN Global Compact, an initiative of the United Nations (UN). In addition to sustainability, human rights and environmental issues, the initiative works together with UN Women to promote the rights of women around the world.
Fair and sustainable conditions
Gabriele Renner and Sabine Stein therefore ensure fair and sustainable conditions in all processes. This begins in the company: an open corporate culture and communication policy, flat hierarchies and measures to protect the environment and promote women are standard. “We also develop and produce exclusively in Germany and Europe. This means we can control how the products are manufactured,” explains Gabriele Renner. “It costs a little more, but it’s worth it to us.”
performance is a role model
“Pervormance International is therefore presented by UN Women as a model company and the only company from Germany,” reports managing director Gabriele Renner proudly.
