Gabriele Renner, managing director of pervormance international GmbH in Ulm, has been elected to the board of Südwesttextil. The business and employers’ association is a community of around 200 companies with a turnover of 7 billion euros and 24,000 employees.
The Südwesttextil Association is an advisor for its members, a networker in politics and business, a social partner in collective bargaining policy and a sponsor of textile research and commitment to social and ecological standards. “I am very pleased that I can contribute our expertise and also our social and ecological commitment,” said Gabriele Renner, commenting on her election to the Südwesttextil board, which includes representatives from renowned companies such as Vaude, Boss, Amann and Olymp. The 54-year-old from Ulm is the founder and managing director of pervormance international GmbH, which is successful worldwide with actively cooling functional textiles. The innovative system technology from Ulm cools the body by up to 12 degrees. This not only helps people lose weight, but also benefits employees in workplaces above 26 degrees, patients with heat-related co-morbidities, competitive athletes and everyone as temperatures rise due to climate change. The Ulm-based company has been considered the first climate-neutral textile company in the world since 2013.
